A few years ago during my undergrad I received a noise violation at a party. I completely forgot about this because all I did was goto the court and paid the fine, no trial/lawyers etc etc. Will this affect my applications in anyway?

Since then I've worked/volunteered at hospitals that require a criminal background check and I would always put NO for everything, even the section that says have you been convicted of a felony/misdemeanor(other than traffic), and nobody has said anything. I would even request a copy of my background check and it wouldn't come up with anything. I'm just paranoid because im assuming pharmacy schools would be really thorough.

You will need to find out whether the noise violation was a misdemeanor or infraction. If it is a misdemeanor, then you would need to report it.

wooooo! infraction! courts around here have free public access online.

no, that is most likely not even on your record. I have a friend from college who is a surgery resident at NYU who easily had 5+ alcohol related arrests while we were in college. Also, I have a couple underage alcohol possessions from about 10 years ago that I thought were no longer on my record. I work in a hospital now but when I applied I checked the "no" box on do you have any misdemeanors but they showed up on the background check unbeknownst to me. I had to meet with the director of pharmacy but I explained the situation and he was pretty much like "if anyone says they didnt do that stuff when they were young then they are lying". Bottom line...everyone F's up...dont make it a habit.

I don't know how it is where you live but where I'm from noise violations aren't a big deal at all but they do show up on your record. I've had three of them, two were dropped in court and the third I missed the court date and subsequently had to pay the fine. The violation was on my record but I was able to do 20 hours of community service and it was ex-sponged off my record. I was told that no one, even the people at the court house, can see that I have had it ex-sponged.

"if anyone says they didnt do that stuff when they were young then they are lying". .

Although your statement certainly applies to me... I guarantee that it does not apply to everyone.
