Hey ya'll...
i wonder if anyone has any ideas of which alternative job opportunities or non-clinical positions there are in the dental field (in the US) for the foreign trained dentists?
Is it possible to buy a practice and run the business as a clinic manager who runs the business (obviously without practicing dentistry oneself, but managing and hiring licensured dentists and staff ??

Or is it a requirement to have an US-accredited licensure in order to buy/own a dental practice?

Any other job-opportunities in the dental field?

Any ideas/info highly appreciated.

tnx and love for all 😍

M. “Non-dentist owner” means an individual not licensed as a dentist in New Mexico or a
corporate entity not owned by a majority interest of a New Mexico licensed dentist that employs or
contracts with a dentist or dental hygienist to provide dental or dental hygiene services and that does not
meet an exemption status as detailed in 61-5A-5 G, NMSA 1978.

thanks and cheers! 😍

I was under the impression that you have to be a dentist at least for California but I don't know for sure so don't take my word for it.

U can try working as a pre-clinical instructor at the dental schools.. 2 of my seniors, both who graduated from South America, worked as preclinical instructors and at the Dentsim lab full time for abt 5-7yrs before they decided to join the Advanced Standing program at Penn.
Something to think about.

As far as I know you need to prove an unborrowed amount of money and hire at least 5 Americans in order to get the status of an investor. However, I don't think International Forum is the best place to ask this kind of questions. Get yourself a lawyer.
