I just wasted about an hour trying to find a list of programs in internal med that do not use ERAS.

I found one on http://www.residentswap.org/goodies/ but they want 8 bucks for it. Does anyone have this list or know of any sites with free lists? I just want internal med & joint programs.

FREIDA website (ama-assn.org). Do an advanced search and selected "does not participate in eras."

There aren't many. Two programs in puerto rico. Several military programs which only take military grads through the military match.

Two programs left. One is the UCLA-VA program -- I expect that's a mistake. I know the PD there, will ask him at the APDIM meeting later this week.

I knew that you can find them through FREIDA, but I thought there has got to be an easier way than to search through the freida programs. My friend got a list & so I mooched off of her. Thanks anyways!

Hey Tevee,

can you get me that list or anybody? Can anyone get that list for me please? Thank you.

my friend said to make sure to contact some of the programs to make sure they are still funded as this changes yearly for some programs.

on a side note, what is the advantage/difference in doing a non-match program? I figure for things like nuc and preventive medicine there aren't enough applicants so the program can't be in the match.

I have a query about non-ERAS programs too. Who can apply to these programs? If they are outside the match, are they not for US medical students in their 4th year? If so, are the only applicants US seniors, IMGs and FMGs? Any advice from anyone, especially aPD, would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

In internal medicine, most of these programs are military (which has it's own match) or are in Puerto Rico (not sure why they don't participate in the match). Wyckoff Heights in NYC is listed as not participating in the NRMP -- no idea if that's correct, it's certainly possible that when they entered their info they answered the question incorrectly.

In urology, there's a completely different match so all programs would list "no" for NRMP.

If a program does not participate in NRMP or another match, then anyone can apply and get a spot at anytime.
