So I'm applying to Saint Louis University's clinical psychology Ph.D. program. From what I've been told by faculty, their program is not run like most programs, as you are not matched with a professor.

What do you all think of programs like this?

Hm well I am interviewing at SHSU, and they are set up this way, seems cool, plus Fordham is set up like this too for clinical psych, its very similar to how several graduate programs in other fields do it, its nice, but I dont think you approach interviews any differently, just need to know a little bit about a couple people instead of just one.

UND Clinical Psych is like that. It's not really much different, just you have a general interview as well as talk to POIs.

I'm applying to a couple non-MM programs, too. From what faculty have told me about their programs, non-MM programs tend to either have one broad research focus throughout all its faculty or they tend to be more interdisciplinary. Either way, you eventually get matched with faculty, but not for the admissions process.
