Hey all,

Do medical schools care if my non-science LoR is written by a professor from a Pass/No Pass course that I took? The course was only offered as P/NP and was also part of the public health department at my university. I eventually became a Teaching Assistant for the course as well. Lmk what y'all think. Thanks.

1) P/NP wont matter
2) simply because it is not BCPM, some adcom members will look at this more as a "medical science" class instead of the traditional non science class.
3) quality of the letter is most important

Because of the "medical science" classification, should I find another professor for my non-science LoR?
It will pass "technical" requirement but may not be as impactful as "traditional" nonscience. However, again, the quality of the letter matters much much more. So if your PH prof writes a "love" letter, run with it
