Hey everyone,

As May and June approach I'm doing more and more research into medical schools to apply to. I'm a non-trad student (28 now, would be 29 when beginning medical school) and a Marine veteran. I was wondering if anyone knows of any veteran and non-trad friendly schools that would be worth looking into.

Thanks for the help!

+1 on UVM, Dartmouth, and Miami.

Other schools that I found to be non-trad friendly include Georgetown, Case Western, Pittsburgh, Boston, and USUHS. One good indication that a school is veteran friendly (at least from my experience) is to look at how much money they give for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Schools like Dartmouth, Case, and Pitt match enough through the YRP so that all of tuition will be covered for those years you have the GI Bill.

Second all the schools you mentioned. Brown is another - although they draw very heavily from their own undergrads, most of the people they take from the general pool are non-trad.
