Hi guys!

So I have been out of undergrad for a couple of years. I am currently in a graduate program for biomedical sciences. My undergrad overall is 3.5 and science being 3.2. My current grad school gpa is 3.5 and I have a MCAT of 499. I have been a secretary at the local hospital emergency room for about five years. I hope to obtain a clinical job soon so I can boost my application for next cycle. I have a few medical and non-medical volunteer experiences from throughout undergrad and now as a grad student. I am starting to wonder if I should even apply next cycle. Do I have a fair chance of at least one acceptance somewhere that is not Caribbean? I don't mind DO and it is my preference because I do not think I am a good candidate for MD. I have personal health/financial setbacks that I had to overcome during my educational career, hence me completing a masters degree.

Where is your state of residence ? You should shadow a DO physician for 50 hours before you apply. You could receive interviews at some DO schools with your MCAT of 499 and I suggest all these:
VCOM ( all 4 schools)
CUSOM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
LECOM (all schools)
ICOM
BCOM
UIWSOM
PCOM Georgia and South Georgia
ACOM
ARCOM
NYIT-Arkansas
WCU-COM
LMU-DCOM
CHSU-COM (new school)
Sam Houston State (new school)
