Submitted AMCAS today

Basics
Degree business administration with 3.1 GPA. After post bac cGPA 3.37 with a sGPA 3.83, clearly showed improvement and dedication in later courses.
30 mcat


ECs
1 year volunteering in ER
Over a year shadowing a urologist and some time with a plastic surgeon at Hopkins
Volunteer Tutoring for two years at undergrad school
5 years volunteering with children at performing arts studio
1 year research assistant in neuropsych lab. 3 manuscripts in preparation 1 abstract being present for neuroscience convention.

Starting Drexel IMS in August

Other unique facts:
Spent two years between undergrad and post bac as prof model traveling the world.
Worked full time in service industry throughout schooling.

What are my chances, applying to
Drexel
Temple
George Washington
Mt Sinai
NYMC
Stony Brook
Downstate
Buffalo
Albany
Hopkins (Have some connect there, huge long shot)
Upstate


Any suggestions for additions or schools that should just flat out be left off.
 
You definitely have a shot at most of those schools, especially because some schools only look at sGPA. Have you considered applying DO as well? You have a shot at MD but you are pretty competitive at DO schools. Was your MCAT score balanced?

EDIT: Mt Sinai is also a big long shot just FYI

State of residency?

If you had been a traditional applicant, then your numbers would be pretty low. I would probably try to apply to a few more schools, because you are a non-trad and you want to maximize your chances.
 
I'm a NY state resident, hence all the state schools. I'm hoping Drexel likes me after I post good grades at their SMP program in december but wanted to know if I should look at other schools that I might have a shot at.
