hi y'all

i have my 1st interview right after i will be spending the winter holidays with my grandparents, who have no internet access. i'd like to read some health policy & ethics stuff that may help with interviews over break. anyone have books to suggest?

thanks.

print primers on all sortsa issues off of amsa website

"The Stem Cell Controversy: Debating the Issue" - M. Ruse and C. Pynes
"Tranplantation Ethics" - Veatch
"The Pro-Life/Pro-Choice Debate" - Herring
"Genetic Turning Points: the Ethics of Human Genetic Intervention" - Peterson
"Responsible Science of Technomadness: Cloning" - M. Ruse and A Sheppard
"Death and Dying" - T. Shannon
OR, "Euthanasia, Ethics and Public Policy" - Keown (but the other is better, I think)

- For psychopharmacology and enhancement issues: "Listening to Prozac" Kramer (last 2 chapters most useful)

Hum... that's all I can think of right now. But, since you'll probably not have enough time to read all these books, you should probably focus on articles... Let me know if you need some articles and I'll give you some suggestions.

- You should probably also look up some of the very famous legal cases: Quinlan case, Cruzan case, Bouvia case, Roe vs. Wade, and Tarasoff v. Regents of the University of California...oh, and Kevorkian of course.

Hope this helps! :luck:
