Has anyone bumped into any nondisjunction diseases on the DAT like klinefelter or turner where you had to know the genotype (XXY, XXX, etc.)?

I don't quite remember these things. Is Turner XO and klinefelter XXY? I think anything is possible even if other SDNers haven't seen them on their tests...

I Dont think you need to know the diseases names, just know that nondisjunction diseases are caused by 45 or 47 chromosomes.

Down Syndrome is trisomy 21, so I guess the answer would be 2N+1. Hopefully they're somewhat nice and stick to Down's instead of Tay-Sachs or something...

I don't think "Tay-Sachs" is a non-disjunction disease. Isn't it a genetic mutation that causes "GM2 ganglioside" to excessively accumulate in the brain due to the absence of hexosaminidase A?

I really hope you had to look up the details...now do you see why I don't want to be asked about...I don't know anything about it...

yes you do, you mentioned the name 1st 😉 mocha, I bet you'll get excellent scores for the real DAT. you'll do great. I just hope that I could be as motivated as you are. All I can do for me is "pray for luck" I have 20% chance to pick the right answer for each question. With a little bit of luck I hope that I can make that 20% chance 50% to at least get 17.5. With a little more luck I hope that ADA rounds up 17.5 to 18.
