Hi everyone!

I'm currently applying in this cycle and I'm thankful for many early interviews I have coming up (first one is on the 5th!). My app is pretty comprehensive without gap year activities anyways- combination of lots of research, clinical exposure, and tons of volunteering (plus good MCAT and good upward trend GPA).

I wrote all my gap year essays about being in the hiring process for this nonprofit I worked with closely for most of my undergrad but with recent federal changes that position is no longer available- in fact most roles similar to that in that city no longer exist or are demanding masters levels qualification or 3/4+ years work experience etc.

I'm still applying to jobs around the clock but those processes move slow. How should I address this in my interviews? I'm still continuing to upkeep my volunteer commitments.

Welcome to the forums. Tell them what happened if they ask, or let the admissions team know how you should update them. In current times, we should not be surprised when opportunities disappear based on funding cuts. Let us know through our Padlet bulletin board.

Thank you! Could you clarify what you mean by let admissions know? Is this something before or after interview? Or something I would bring up during it i.e "Don't have job now but when I get one I'll let y'all know?"
