For all of you guys out there who are fellow non trads, I want to tell you that eventually hard work does pay off. I am as non traditional as they come with a wife and 4 little girls at home while being 8 months away from graduation.

Don't give up hope if this is what you want to do. In the end, you will no longer go to work because you will be so happy practicing medicine that you will feel that it is recreational.

Thanks for sharing your story and for your encouragement.

Thanks for sharing your story. It's always good to hear successes from those with less than stellar statistics/history. I'm in the process of trying to regroup and show my abilities and gain a med school acceptance.

Hello EMT2ER-DOC,

I really appreciate your post, it's right on time! I was have really been in a guilt funk and questioning myself a bit. I have been on this journey for a while now and feel like I'm prepared to take the plunge as a medical student.

I have read your blogs and really appreciate the encouragement to other non-traditional students going through some of the same guilt, perserverance and commitment. Great post and Good luck on your upcoming graduation👍!
