So I am 26 years old finishing my Bachelor's Degree and I have a question about medical school.

I went to community college after high school and graduated with my Associate's Degree. I had a GPA of 3.1 while I was there. I wasn't overly committed to college then. Now after taking several years off from school I decided to return to finish my degree and go to medical school. In the past 18 months that I have been back I have a 4.0 GPA at Hofstra University. How will medical schools consider my GPA? Will they average everything together or take my GPA at Hofstra more seriously? Especially if I do really well on the MCAT?

Thanks for any advice!

GPA will be an average of all college courses you ever took. Doesn't matter where or when. If your credits are evenly balanced between the two, you'll graduate with a 3.55 cGPA, which is good enough to get into med school. Pair that with a good MCAT, ECs, and good interview and you'll be gold.
