BID: Brand new state of the art ED, academic bend, the "Harvard feeling in the air. residents are nice, faculty differ, some are nice, some are quite impressed with themselves. Not much trauma. Not much inner city. PD cold fish.
Baystate: PD extremely nice and personable. ED overcrowded and old. Pathology is great, lots of inner city, I think they have plenty of trauma too, mostly blunt. faculty are great and I liked the residents a whole lot. Very busy place, but ltst of accent on the resident well being. More clinical than academic, IMHO.
Uconn: Brand new state of the art ED, nice residents, nice faculty - mostly - big trauma, both penetrating and blunt, lots - lots of inner city - better learn Spanish now. Interview process not that great - I don't know why it's so stiff. Flight program, hyperbaric chamber since July. Kind of mixed clinical and academic, I think.
I didn't see the other ones.
