I'm interested in the EM program at Northwestern, but I'm concerned about housing...does anyone know if there is subsidized housing/apartments? I read somewhere that Northwestern lets you rent an apartment on Michigan Ave at a good price?? If anyone has info on that, please post or private message 🙂

Thanks!! Good to all those interviewing!! 🙄

Has anyone interviewed at northwestern, UChicago, or cook county... I've got interviews there and I would really appreciate any info about the programs b/c I may cancel one.

i may be speaking out of base, but, it seems like northwestern gets dinged around the city by all the other programs. from the people that i talk to (which of course there is some bias), no one really highly recommends the program. it's hard to say why. i havent figured it out.

Actually... From few people I've talked to recently, Northwestern was considered a pretty solid program in Chicago. I saw the hospital today and it is honestly the nicest hospital I've ever been in. Hopkins and Brigham were nice also, but I think NW wins out based on the top floor views. One side overlooks Lake Michigan and the other downtown Chicago. Many residents seem to live in high-rises near the hospital or in Lincoln Park nearby which is a fun part of the city. The structure is only about 5 years old and it literally looks like a five-star hotel.

I interview there next week... so I'll have more input later. In the meantime, does anyone have any other info about the program??? Anyone out there at Northwestern currently???
