i have been complete there for two months now and have not heard a single thing. Anyone else in the same boat?

hahahaha yes definitely. and I check the status page at least 4 times a day there.

Complete since 8/10. Those of us complete for this long have certainly been passed over once, but supposedly there is a chance that we could still be invited for interviews later in the season. Also, keep in mind that rejections supposedly don't get sent until December or February. So there's still a long while to wait to know if we're still being considered, or if our apps have been set aside for good.

it just sucks because i waited a while to schedule my uchicago interview hoping NW would come. i was a day past the deadline on each of my requirements (LOR and secondary), though i turned them in on the day of, i guess they 'received' them the day after. i wonder if that plays a negative role...

here's a question (about northwestern or any other school for that matter)...

if they decide that they don't want you for an interview, do they tell you soon after this decision is made? or do they wait until their we-are-done-interviewing-deadline, essentially making you suffer for extra months even though they've already set your app into a dark corner of a room...?

any insight to my poorly worded question? 😕

Every school does it differently. But as I posted above, Northwestern supposedly doesn't send out ANY rejections until December or February. So yes, they let you hang for quite awhile.

Haven't heard back from NU for a long while either. I'm assuming I've been passed over as well.

did anyone try to call and ask about their status?

i had been complete since 8/15 and hadn't heard anything since then, until i got an invite last week. maybe they're starting a second round....

northwestern rejected me in november last year. i believe they send out rejection letters on nov. 15.

Yeah I'm instate (not that it matters) but I've been complete since 9/15 and no invite... I dunno if I should be hopeful at this point. 😕

So another question about NW- I completed the app on time (early, actually), but my committee letter didn't get there until 2 weeks after their due date (Sep 6th when they wanted it by Aug 22nd). I told my premed dean, so this is not my fault at all. He just didn't get his act together. Will this hurt me or do they expect that premed deans sometimes don't care when schools want the letters?

I would call Northwestern and let them know.

when I called Northwestern with the same question about late letters, the lady didn't seem to think that it was a big deal. She said it was a suggested date, while I believe that the due date for the secondary is a firm date.

I think as long as you get them in before the final deadline for the school (can't remember because it didn't apply to me at the time).

you should call if you want clarification. they were super nice.

my secondary deadline was 8/14 and my LOR deadline 8/21. each were officially recored as in a day late, though they were each turned in the day they were do. im not sure i deserve an itnerview or anything, but i think maybe that may have hurt me in the process, as ive been complete forover 2 months now and havent heard jack.
