not all interns get a job?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
APPEs are different. You aren't under the same rules when doing those -- technically, you're paying for the experience; no need to clock out by any certain time. When you're being paid by the site, the rules change as the law requires (for your protection, as well as the protection of your work site). Always work on the clock if you're being paid...

Sorry, I didnt mean APPEs. I meant intern work during P1 through P4 years. But even offering to help is a decent replacement for actually working.

Anyone have an idea of what stores hire the highest percent of their interns? I figure CVS/Wags would be lower since there's so many but how about Walmart/Target and others..do they give offers to most of their interns?

I always asked permission as an intern before staying over, so that way I knew it was okay. It seems like in retail, anything goes. A lot of people I work with are so stressed out because of how the customers treat us and how understaffed we are. It seems like most people dislike and/or mistrust their coworkers, so it's hard to know even if you sucked up, if you'd get to stay employed with the company after graduation.
When I had my meeting with my supervisor as a pharmacist, the supervisor complained about everything, that customers complained about me, coworkers said I didn't treat them right, and complained about using the restroom. Never once did the supervisor askhow badly I was treated, and I didn't volunteer that much because I try not to let things get to me. I always felt that the company could fire you for any reason, and it was impossible to please anyone.
