Hello everyone!

I am looking for advice on my GRE situation. I took it the first time and had no time to study and scored low about 141/142 and 3.5 on the writing. I want to do well on the test but I am schedule to take it August 24th and have not had a chance to study due to my summer course load, observation hours( I had to start again because a PT that used to work at the clinic no longer works there, and I have called and emailed her and STILL no answer, so I have to gain some more. I gained 55 hours that I now can't claim!! If you have advice for this please let me know), and work. Should I still take it? Or change the date to the end of September? Some of my programs application deadlines are October 1, so they need the GRE early. Should I send my old scores? And then retake it? I am so stuck!

I have research experience, 72 hours peds and ortho combined, (55 inpatient that may not count...) a rehab tech position. And.. Most of my classes are pretty good I have a 3.5 cum. but am missing a class so it should rise, my pre req gpa should change to (I am retaking a class).

PT has been my entire life and I want this DPT more than anything. I am reapplying and trying to make my app stronger. My fear is that my GRE is going to hold me back.....

Thanks! I did post part of my post there 🙂

You have enough time to raise your score take practice tests you just have to make time.

Hate to say it but Alex here is right. Your going to have to force yourself to study for this test. I retook the GRE 3 times before I finally got the score I wanted. I lightly studied the first two times and decided to full out study the 3rd time.

My advice, do your coursework and get in your hours first. Study for the GRE during whatever free time you have. It sucks to say this but your probably going to have to give up friends and luxuries and stuff (if you havent already) for a month or two to get this taken care of...🙁

When you get it done, get some friends and go get a beer or two...or 10...lol
