Hey,
Just wanted to give some words of encouragement to those that did not match. I was in your position 2 years ago and can say that it was a difficult time filled with despair. It'll make you questions your worth and all the sacrifices you've made thus far. This is easier said then done, but keep your head up and in the game. This is not the end of your career unless you choose to make it so. We all take different paths prior, during and after medical school. Don't see yourself as a failure, rewind, review and give it another try while expanding your views. Ask for help and assistance. Your school should have resources -- especially any attending you had. Talk to your family and friends, try not to keep it all inside and fight it alone. If you feel like you're in a trench that you can't climb out of or have any feelings or urges of harm, let someone close to you know -- its not your fault.

Stay in there my friends, keep grinding it'll work out in the end.

Thanks OP for your kind and compassionate post. I know the people out there experiencing this probably don't want to talk about it, but they need encouragement. This thread will drop off too soon, but I do feel like we need these on SDN.
