There are several prerequisite courses which I haven't yet completed, but intend to complete this coming year. Will the fact that I haven't completed them yet have an overall negative effect on my application, or will it not matter much?

Yeah, fair points. I've already taken the MCAT, but my sGPA is probably lower because of it. Even beyond these indirect factors though, is it "looked poorly upon" and might negatively impact me in a holistic sense?

I indicated that I was going to take Biochem this past spring. I got an acceptance from UNECOM contingent upon passing it. I didn't end up taking it though.

I did the same thing for a few schools this application cycle. I have one quarter of biochem and for the schools that indicated they needed two I said I would do it this coming spring. If I get in somewhere that does not need it I am definitely not taking that class either.
