MD Not sure how to pick schools?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would delete UC Davis as well They had zero OOS matriculants on my version of MSAR. If you're going to pick a "lower" range UC pick Irvine (not that UCI is a lower end medical school but out of the UCs it's on the lower end) They don't favor residents.

Thanks guys! Also what do you think about the addition of these ones:

Oregon Health & Science
Tufts
Hostra
Temple
Drexel
Georgetown
University of Rochester
Virginia Tech
NYMC
BU
SLU

Oregon mainly prefers their own residents. Your MCAT is low for BU, Tufts, Rochester and Hofstra. You could add these schools:
Western Michigan
Roseman (new school in Nevada that will be accepting applicants at some time this year)

georgetown and Drexel are particularly low yield out of that bunch. Bu and tufts are on the lower yield side as well. OHSU is also out for the reasons mentioned above. Not to mention your MCAT is a little low for them. Consider adding Penn State, university of Vermont, and medical college of Wisconsin. I would consider not adding any school with above a 34 MCAT and apply DO as well. Keep your list as balanced as possible with the average MCAT of your schools very close to your own.

How many are you trying to apply to?

I would delete Rush. Matriculants average ~600 community service hours and even higher clinical hours.

I'm thinking at least 20. I was thinking of Vermont, but I thought they only accept mostly IS?
