i think your losing it R. step away from sdn for a while
That's what I am saying.
JustR,
You really really need to get off of SDN and rethink everything through. And consider Carribean schools if wasting a year is not an option and DO schools are not an option. I have friends that did that, and they DO NOT regret it one bit. Some actually enjoyed their time at SGU and Ross and did well and came back to the country and will be an MD when it comes down to it at the end of the day.
Secondly, I hate bringing about fights like this. But everything you have said is inane garbage. You just CANNOT compare a sexual assault or violation of a person's body with that of the MCAT.
And trust me, I think everyone on this board studied just as hard as you claim to have studied. The MCAT is not a matter of who studies 3 weeks vs. who studies 6 months. It is a matter of a test of critical thinking, analyzing concepts, not mere memorizing of facts. It is a test of how well you are able to manipulate information given to you. Even with the sciences, you don't necessarily need the passages, just to know the necessary information to solve the problems. You can't compare the science sections to the Verbal reasoning, because it does not always require you to read the whole passage, the way verbal does.
I studied 4 months but got anxiety on test day, which is why my verbal didn't go up. But stuff happens, and you just become more determined then ever if you want it bad enough.
Honestly, I was not going to say anything, but I agree with the poster who says that half your posts don't make any sense. Maybe you should take a critical reading class or two at your schooll and practice a lot and get off of SDN and start reading things like philosophy books etc, or start studying again. But at this rate, you are never going to get into medical school.
A wise man once said to me: There are 3 types of people in this world:
1. Those who dream but never follow through.
2. Those who are all talk. These people start something and never finish.
3. Those who don't listen to other people's negative views, who pick up and do what they can to get where they want.
But not doing well on the MCAT is not the end of the world.
