Hi guys, I have another random question.

How do you guys take notes when studying? I use pen and paper for my classes, but do some of you use laptops? Is it easier to find some detail in your laptop notes (ctrl F) than in your hand notes? Thanks.

Of course it's easier (faster) to find stuff if it's on a computer. For me, it depends on the teacher and the class. For the most part, I stopped taking a laptop to school altogether. It was too tempting to wander off online here and there. And for classes like physics, laptop just wasn't happening.

Maybe I'll just go tablet or iPad and get the best of both.

Oh wait. I'm ******ed. Sorry. Why else would you ask in this forum? My RC must be a fluke.

The only real notes I were for Chad's stuff. I actually referred to them a lot during my second semester of OCHM. (Yes, I braved the DAT without finishing OCHM. Not the best idea.) If anything, I penciled a couple bullet points or terms here and there for stuff I was not great on. More than anything, the writing was just to help remember it. I never went back and read them or anything. It just seemed like there was way too much material to get through to take a lot of notes and then re-study those notes.

If you're using books, I suppose highlighting and margin-jotting would be quick and effective.
