NOVA: acceptance condition(Microbio Pre-requisite)

I received an accpetance letter from NOVA.
I am writing this to ask a question regarding my pre-requisite courses. I have completed all of my pre-requisite courses EXCEPT for microbiology. During the academic update period, I indicate that I WILL take a spring semester microbiology course at a nearby community college . However, in the acceptance letter, the admission committee did NOT require me to take microbiology class. I have the following questions

1. Am I required to take a microbiology class before matriculation?
2. Even though the committee did not require me to take microbiology, should I take the class because it is a pre-requisite course?

Because I am a returning student (I graduated from University last year with an economics major), I don’t have priority in registering and the class is already full. Consequently, I am worried that I will not be able to add the class.

Hey, just talk to the course coordinator to get enrolled in the class. Usually someone will override the system and get you registered in the course if there is a good reason you should be in the class (ie. prereqs). Good luck!

bump... I would like to know the same thing. I haven't taken microbio and understand NOVA changed their prereqs during the application cycle period. I also did not see anything about a conditional acceptance. has anyone gotten in contact with nova about this?

I kinda have the same problem. I'm taking virology for microbio prerequisite but i'm not so sure if this will fulfill the requirement. 🙁

Take it, it will help. The micro class you take at Nova is accelerated and ends in like october, and you cover the entire undergrad scope by the first exam. Seeing it beforehand will help..alot

Why bother with pre requisites? Just make them optional.

Microbio is required. You have to take it. Biochemistry is also a new requirement and again, you must take it. Don't ruin your chances of starting dental school over this class.
