100 is the enrollment number. they actually accepted more people but only about 100 ended up accepting the offer. i still feel the angst though.
 
well, i got my interview packet in the mail today....finally. slated for Dec. 4 =/ i was kinda hoping for a pre-dec interview. i suppose Dec. 4 is still decent, right?

from the AADSAS status change to 'invited to interview' on Aug. 10, the letter took 11 days to get here...giving me exactly 3 days to respond back...i guess that's what i get for living in canada. And it's just my luck that it's the weekend now, so no one will answer the phone...i guess i'll have to leave a message.

sigh.

i haven't booked a hotel yet. i've been waiting for the interview packet to come for the discount but i think it's lost in the mail =/

i don't think there is any code per se. you just have to say that you have an interview at nova and they'll give you the discount right away. personally, i'm staying at comfort suites for $82 a night. the best part is the transportation included: they have a 24 hour shuttle that will take me from airport to hotel and from hotel to school. that alone is worth at least 20-30 bucks.

this place is literally a block away from nova, so you could probably walk to your interview. but considering it's summer and it's florida, you probably want to go with the shuttle.
 
Should we assume that the interview is confirmed after we leave a message on their phone service? I can't seem to get through to anyone with the numbers that they provided.
 
I would definitely try to get a hold of somebody to make sure they have your name down. I had the same problem too, but I was able to get through to somebody when I called early in the morning.
 
i got my interview the october 28th...it seems they are sorta giving interviews based on the strength of the applicant.
 
do you guys know how long the interview takes....they gave me a time of 11:45....and i was thinking of booking my flight at 5:30. Is that too early?

DO NOT worry about it. Each year Nova admits a number of students who choose other schools, that are usually less expensive. So, they actually accept a number of people AFTER dec 1st. In fact, I had an interview on DEC 13th and I am this second sitting in, and waiting for, class to start as part of Nova's class of 2013. There were 2 others who interviewed on the same day as me who got in, and another friend of mine got accepted VERY LATE, b/c he sent in his app really late. Do well in the interview and you give yourself a strong shot. Best of luck!!

you're fine. the dean always asks if anyone has an earlier flight and interviews those people first to make sure you get out on time.

Good, my flight leaves at 6:18 so I was worried I would be cutting it close.

i doubt that, it seems that they are pretty random to me!!
 
Hi! I noticed that some people have the interview the same day and I actually know that one person has the interview scheduled the same day at the same time. Does anyone know if the interviews are done in groups (group of students, or group of interviewer for one student...) Does anyone know?

you meet together as a group for lunch. then some students take you on a tour. after that, the dean introduces himself to the group and interviews are done 1 student at a time. if i remember right, there are 2-3 faculty members present in the interview.

Thanks lotank! This definitely helps. It gives me an overview of the day. 👍 And it sounds like a relax atmospere. I am glad that we are going to do lunch and tour first! It will help us relax and get some time to know each other. Great news 🙂

Mine is September 24th!

Like many others, I will be staying at Comfort Suites from 22nd to 26th. It is indeed the best place to stay for the interview! If anyone would like to share a room or check out the area during that period, feel free to pm me! 🙂

Is this actually the first date available for Nova interviews? I didn't see anyone scheduled any earlier on predents... Ahhh!

Ah okay!! Looking forward to meeting you two! I'm actually from South Florida, so I drove home from Gainesville yesterday, am spending a few days at home with the family, and will drive over to Nova Wednesday morning!

Yeah no kidding! There will be at least a few of us staying there for the oct. 1st interview. We should meet up the day/night before.

hey...sorry to bring up another topic but I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to apply to NOVA at this point in the cycle? My gpa is 3.74 but DAT is 19aa/19ts/17PAT/19RC

Personally, I think if you have the cash, it's a good idea to apply. You're DAT scores aren't killer, but they're not bad either, and it's still not that late to apply to Nova. However, you must consider the fact that since Nova started giving out interviews quite early this year, by the time they get to your application, a good number of their seats will be taken. So, you're chances would be hindered to some degree. But this doesn't mean you don't have any chance at all.

At this point, waiting would be a good option! You've left them 2 voice mails and you've also sent an email, so I'm pretty sure that they know you're attending.

Remember! It's FL...Show up at least 15-20 mins in advance so you can cool off a little, before you start.

Does anyone want to share a hotel or car costs? I'm thinking of couchsurfing for the experience, but I'd love a (female) buddy, as i am also female. I think it would be more fun to do that and to rent a car for a few days to explore the area. Please pm me if you're interested. 🙂
