NOVA interview

i don't think it would be too late. there are plenty of people who had later interviews that still get in. i guess it depends on your numbers and application, but don't doubt yourself. just go and show them what you've got.... good luck. 🙂

is it possible to see if they have an earlier interview?

I believe their class size is around 200.....so I don't think it is that late.

Besides I'm interviewing there on the 12th. 🙂 I am pretty psyched about it.

I just interviewed there on the 8th and they said they had handed out only a few acceptances to date (I was one of them 2 days later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). You'll be fine!

the interview is panel-style but make sure you have some good questions to ask SPECIFIC to the school. Make yourself stand out so they remember you after you're gone. Just be polite and be yourself. Be prepared to answer the run=of-the-mill questions (Why DO, Why NSU) but don't get caught off-guard if they ask you specifics about your application.

Take some time afterwards to drive around the davie area to see if you like what you see (I know I did... lots of good places to eat!).

Good luck - you'll have a great time there!

December is not late in the game. Oct-Nov is early; Dec-Mar is normal; Apr-May is later. June-yes, July! is late.

Mathematically speaking (please read disclaimer on bottom of this post - it is there for a reason), to fill 200 seats you have to accept 300+ people (remember, some will have multi-acceptances). To accept 300 peeps, they'll interview around 400+ peeps. To get 400 people to an interview, they'll screen 1-2000+ applications. (Conservative numbering also)From what I've seen, about 8-10% of applicants matriculate medical school.

I'll disclaimer this here so EVERYONE understands. All numbers are estimates based on reading and observation. I do not, nor do I claim to have access to admission statistics, nor do I have any interest in obtaining them.
