NOVA Southeastern Acceptance!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
On Wednesday I got a super exciting email (to my school email) saying that I was accepted to NSU, but then on Thursday I received two emails (to my normal email), one thanking me for applying, and the other that they received a transcript and thank you for your interest...did anyone else who was accepted get semi-confusing emails as well? And the fact that there has been communication to two email addresses I found a little strange.

It is making me question if they made a mistake by accepting me..which is a terrible feeling, because I want to be excited, but I don't want to get too excited if it turns out that something went wrong.
BE EXCITED! It could be the other campus if you applied to both. It happened to me also and it was from the fort lauderdale campus. CONGRATS

Has anyone else been waiting for their supplemental application? My ptcas app has been verified for almost 2 weeks and still nothing from nova
you don't have to wait to be contacted to complete the secondary application. I didn't. I went to the website and applied on my own.

Does anyone know if they give extensions for putting down the deposit? $1000 is a lot, and there is not much time to decide. I'd love to visit before plopping down that much money. Any thoughts?

I'm with you on this... It's a lot of money and it's really early. I wish they wouldn't make us decide so fast and I don't know anything about the school

Unfortunately they don't give extensions, unless some crazy reason maybe (which I have never heard any).

I was accepted to the Ft Lauderdale campus a few weeks ago, but I don't know much about the school. Can someone tell me a little bit about the program's reputation, out of classroom experiences offered (volunteer clinics etc.), how future employers consider the school, and what the housing situation is like?
Thanks!
They have a lot of good information about their program on their website. From what I've read and compared to other schools, it seems like they have 40 hours of clinical experience, and most of the other schools I've applied to have about 32 weeks. I also read that they have an overall 100% pass rate and 100% have a job within 6 months of graduation. I'm not sure about volunteering, but it did say on their website that we get experience working with the underserved populations in a number of healthcare facilities. I would definitely do some more research before you deposit because you want to make sure it is what you really want. I really enjoyed it when I went to visit last summer.

Did the" thank you for applying" or other email indicate in them that you did not get accepted? I think they have several automated emails that go out to applicants so I wonder if thats what they are, did you receive any other emails on your school account? Honestly I would send an email from the one you got accepted on and just confirm and explain the situation with the multiple emails that was you know for sure. (any have them remove one of the email addresses from their records that way you won't miss any other correspondence)
No, none of them said anything about not being accepted. The emails just seemed a little bizarre and out of order. I called them, and left messages, but I can't seem to get through. I will try to email them like you suggested. Thank you for your response!

Ok! Thank you! Then I will be excited! hahah, the emails just seemed strange and confusing, so I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced something similar. Congrats to you!

Got a call yesterday, I'm in! Waiting to hear from other schools before I put down the deposit!

Good luck everyone!!

Hey everyone! For those who have been accepted to NSU Fort Lauderdale, you can join the Facebook page "Nova Southeastern University DPT Class of 2019" to get to know your future classmates!

I was accepted today but I'll be declining so that will open up a spot! 🙂
