hi
i would appreciate it if some one who was dropping out of nova 2nd yr or was repeating it please let me know you have the option to pm me

why do you need to know?

I am assuming that you're an international student who wish to get a seat. NSU Dental has a 3-year international student (advance standing) DMD program and they enroll starting as a 2nd year dental student. You see, if a dental student fails out at the end of 1st year or is asked to repeat the 1st year, that creates an empty seat for the 2nd year class.

If 5 fails or repeats, then there are 5 seats for international students to come into the class. If none fails, then we will not take any international students for that year.

You will not hear from any NSU dental students that have failed on SDN. Nice try and thanks for coming. I personally do not know the exact number of students have failed last year. Good luck.

I'm not too familar with Nova, but do they take dental students that essentially finished 2nd year but due to a medical reason didn't?

I'm sure you read my post on the board. I would be re-doing 2nd year even though I finished the majority of it.

Oh yeah, why don't you hear of failing NSU students on here?

Columbia takes 2-3 international students into 2nd year in january. Go ask Dr. McManus.

Not sure if this is true, but I did a search on here and there was a post that said 8 students failed first year. I think it was in reference to the class 2 years ago. So if that is true ( because you can't trust everything you read) that is about a 8% failure rate.

I heard 10% is the national avg for dental school failures, but I am not sure if that is per year or all four years combined.

Anyhow, failing dental school is usually not something to worry about. And if you are worried it means you are not prepared to handle the rigors of D-school.

As you can tell i am so bored out of my mind right now that I searched something completely useless.
