Anyone know if its true that NOVA rejects a lot of people if they apply to more then a certain number of schools? NOVA and UNLV were they only schools that asked where or how many schools you applied too.. I am hoping I don't get rejected from schools just because I applied to 18...

I was told by a friend that got rejected from NOVA last year that they will reject you if you apply to more then 5 schools?

Go on predents and click on Nova and ppl who have been accepted to that school. count the number of schools each student applied to. if u r right, i am Screeeewed.

Believe me. It is not true.

That's not accurate. I know of someone that applied to more than 18 schools and got an invite to NOVA last week.

You're stats look strong. Keep up hope for the interview!

just because u apply to 20 schools doesnt mean you would have written 20 schools. what if you only wrote 6 schools? then they wouldn't know that you applied to 20 obviously!

someone from last year should comment on this, rather than just give speculation

Thanks for the info. I am just wondering if anyone else has heard the same. I had two friends not apply there for that reason...

If it doesn't affect admissions, then why would they ask us to put it down.

I applied to 15 schools and got an interview pretty fast last year. I wasn't accepted though. Withdrew my app after i got in my top choice, TuftS 🙂

Because NOVA interviews so many people, only about 4% of the people they interview will be given acceptances! Smile and look around, because 96% of the people around you are screwed 🙂

According to the ADEA handbook, last year ~3400 applied, they interviewed 400, and accepted 110.
3-4% of applicants got accepted, but 27.5% of interviewees.

Well I hope not! I applied to 14 UNLV being one of my favored choices.

I applied to 24 schools and got an interview. I wrote down every school.

my interview is tomorrow matter of fact

I heard the number is 17+

Nova is suffering from the new school complex and doesn't want to be at the bottom of an applicant's totem pole.

Is it 110 accepted or 110 enrolled? There is a distinct difference. If Nova is not a first choice for most interviewees, then they have to keep interviewing to fill up the class size.

I thought schools could see all the schools to which you applied on the AADSAS app, no? Thus, this question could also be a trap to see if one is lying lol.

110 enrolled. They accept a lot more I imagine. They have a pretty large class, and being that they are private and don't show heavy preference to Floridians, they get a ton of people wanting a good school to apply to "on an even playing field" I would guess.

Also, the more than 5 or so schools thing doesn't seem to matter. I listed 11 schools and still got an interview.

I applied to 33 schools and received interviews from both schools. Pretty sure they don't care.
