Now that my application is out...I am doing really well in school! Finally getting some honors when I only had one in my ophtho elective before.

Will these new grades end up in my dean's letter?

Once the pressure is off, I am doing well, how frustrating. :meanie:

It is the nature of 4th year. The 4th year typically is not mentioned in the dean's letter. At my school, the dean's letters have already been written.

The funny part is that these ARE 3rd year rotations! I returned from my PhD thesis out of sync. So, these don't count at all. I think being relaxed going into the shelf exams helped me...

I wish I had had my third year rotations now. Much more relaxed as a 4th year. 🙂

I don't know, but maybe you can mention or bring up the grades during your interview. It won't help for getting interviews, but I'm sure the places you interview at will be interested in your core rotation grades (unless its Psych! I've been told its a bad thing to honor psych!) so I think it might be valid to mention. But I speak as someone going through the process w/ you so... don't know how valid my suggestion is.

well, sf match definitely accepts updated transcripts. how late these get in and how they are used in the admissions process is beyond my knowledge... 😉

Uh oh, I aced psych and the shelf exam. Probably my best rotation.
