Ok, it's not like I'm counting down or anything (62 days), but I can finally see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. And yes, while I do hope it's not an oncoming train, I am glad to be finishing residency.

It's amazing how long this journey has been...

So for the rest of you soon-to-be-graduating Chiefs... what's next?

First off, congratulations on completing a very difficult residency and for landing a job...

I only hope you feel (the job) is commensurate with the blood, sweat and tears you put forth in your training.

I would only want you to always look for ways, perhaps non traditional, to augment your income (ie cosmetogyn)... You have the best patient base (women), whom you should not refer to plastic surgeons for simple things as labioplasties (where no plastic surgeon should EVER go), and even lipo.

just a thought, as you consider that the insurance CEOs earn 10-20 million dollars per year on your efforts for womens health care.
