For children older than 1, what is the body surface area percentage for the head (for burns)?

My textbook and study guide book both say 12% for children and 18% for infants. But everywhere else I look it says 18% for children. Which one is correct (12% or 18%) for nremt purposes? My nremt is this Tuesday so I'd really appreciate the clarification.

For children over the age of one year, for each year above one, add 0.5% to each leg and subtract 1% for the head. This formula should be used until the adult rule of nines values are reached. For example, a 5-year old child would be +2% for each leg and -4% for the head.

This is because by proportion, infants are all head and little lower body, this changes as they age, hence you keep going until the head is 9% and the legs are 18 total, 9 for anterior and 9 for posterior.
