Did anybody else thing that NS FL # 3 was extremly hard?! My scores dropped in the Bio/Cars sections! 🙁

I got annihilated on the CARS section in NS 3. Don't worry too much about it and just take your average scores.

Took NS 3 yesterday, bio & cars dropped for me as well 🙁

I was thinking about buying the NS sets, but someone told me they just rephrase off AAMC stuff. Is this true?

Hey man! I am not sure if they do that.. I really hope not because I haven't taken the AAMC and I am saving it till the end! 🙁

Anyone has input on this?

Apparently its only the free diag and its fixed now. If any of you have also taken any of the EK ones too, can you say which is better?

Just took NS 3 today and yes, the CARS section was significantly more difficult than NS 1 and NS 2 CARS. My score dropped in that section too.

I took NS3 today...I found it to be the hardest practice test I've taken so far..my overall score dropped by 2 points 🙁 Super discouraging!!! but at least you all agree. Thinking I'm gonna try EK 1 on Monday. We will see how that goes. I'll have EK 1-4, NS4 , and the scored AAMC test left before 4/23. I also have the TPR tests but don't think I'll be using them based on user feedback.

Any opinions on if I should finish the NS ones and then start with the EK or mix them up?? I'm thinking mix it up so I don't get too used to one type of non-AAMC exam.

I took the Nextstep and EK exams last year for my mcat. I didn't give too much though to what order to take them in but I can tell say no matter the order, you will get used to their style. Mostly because both are very much like the real AAMC test. I have not taken the new Ek exam (I only had 1-3) or the new/revised(?) NS exams (I had 1-5 in 2015), but from the current scuttle on SDN they both do a great job mimicking the real thing and the nextstep exams 1-5 are improved from last year.

I would say the bigger challenge would be to alternate but it will make your score tougher to predict (switching back and forth b/w 2 diff scales) though when I took EK, there was no scaled score.

What I did was save my AAMC q packs (now you have that AND the section stuff) for the end and I used that in between my practice tests, to always have the AAMC taste fresh in my brain.

take the aamc exams last or near last at least.

NextStep exams 1-10

EK exams 1-4
