We’ve all heard/seen the rumors...any merit?

SF or NRMP?

I have yet to see anything official myself. Does anyone know anything a/b possible changes in future years’ match processes?

Is this a good thing? or bad thing? I just started my 3rd year and not much of this matching process is explained to us at our med school. could someone please give me some insight as to how this change is going to affect current 4 and 3 year students?

I guess this explains why I can't find data on Neurosurg in the "Charting Outcomes 2007" NRMP document.

What happened in the past doesn't matter. SF Match had its peculiarities but they are gone. By the time you match no one will remember or care that neurosurgery used to be SF Match. Neurology used to be, ENT used to be ... no one cares. You will be matching via NRMP just like 99% of the rest of medical students, so just follow the guidelines for that.
