That happened to me for a while- you just have to keep trying until it works.
 
So I got my confirmation that they have received my secondary but it also says I still need my LOR and MCATs sent in.

Im taking care of the LORs but how do I send the MCAT scores to NSU? I tried directly from the MCAT THx but it wouldn't let me?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you need to go to AAMC MCAT page and ask your score to be released to AACOMAS. WHen once AACOMAS has the score, they will send it to the school

I received several emails from NSU about my completed application. They make the letter almost sound like I was already accepted lol. I love how they send bunch of emails to even prospective students about financial help and such. Seems like they care a lot about their students and those apply.....unlike some MD schools.....(not listing any school names....)
I really hope to get an interview 😀

yes you just need to have aamc release test scores to aacomas, and aacomas in turn will send the scores along with your application to the school 👍
 
Just noticed this, logged back in and saw that I have 2 processed applications for fall 2012? Also, there is a link to a signature page? Did anyone mail in a signature page or was it just the electronic signature
 
I had my score released to accomas and it shows they accepted it and i can view it in accomas yet on my primary apps there is no mcat score...wtf?

So I know we are sending LORs on our own to be received by each school, but what's with the rest of these requirements apparently not being received yet? Haven't they seen this stuff from my primary? 😕 Any one else have this situation?

I have the 2 applications as well. Additionally, I keep receiving e-mails saying "We have recently received your application to the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University (NSU-COM) for the entering class of 2011." I try to login with the NSU ID that they supplied to check the status, except my ID doesn't exist. Seems as though their WebSTAR system doesn't update very efficiently either because I sent my letters through VE a few days ago and the update page hasn't changed. Anyone else having better luck than me?
 
I just checked and I also have the double application thing going on. By the dates it looks like one is the day I started the secondary and one is the day I submitted it.
They say they have everything except my transcripts...wouldnt that have come with the primary from aacomas?? we dont have to specifically send the school our transcripts do we?
 
you only have to send in LORs...i think everyone's is like that too..

did anyone else get an e-mail for the webstar status w/ a new NSU ID?

I clicked on application status and it says that mycat scores and my signature are received, but next to the transcript its blank. Do I have to send the transcript to them myself? I thought transcript is sent with the application through aacomas

yeah same here. today it says they also received AACOMAS and MCAT-transcript section still blank. honestly I think it's going to be fixed during the period which they say the WebSTAR will be down (see picture):

Excited about nova. How important is the liberal arts lor. Will they let it slide with an md letter replacement. Haven't had a liberal arts class in almost 2 years.
 
Several points I can help clear up -

1) When you login to the Nova WebStar application, do NOT use the "NSU ID" number you received in the email. You are supposed to create a login ID & pin number.

2) Don't worry about the blank sections on the status page. Nova just appears to be a little slower than some at updating the incoming materials.

3) For some reason they seem to be using the same generic email from last year, reading "...for the class of Fall 2011". My WebStar file/app clearly says Fall 2012 (twice).

4) Yes, there are two application links in your WebStar page. The second was created upon submission. I am not sure why they don't merge them, but oh well...
 
submitted my secondary 5-6 days ago. wonder when they will start sending out emails for interviews....
 
Hello my name is Lobna I just graduated from the BMS program in May and will still be living in south florida. Im currently looking for a trustworthy roommate i will be moving to a 2bedroom 2 bath in the miramar / pembroke pines area which is about 15mins from Barry and extremely close to all major highways. I just submitted payment to NSU. Secondary was not too bad. I just emailed my ENG Prof. from almost 3 years ago.

I have DO, two science faculty. Trying to find the third :scared:

yeah I submitted the secondary at least 2 weeks ago and it's still blank next to Transcript...
 
Any sign of movement down at Nova? Status page hasn't updated since I submitted secondary.
 
I got that email too, but not sure what it really means when interview invites haven't even started yet.

I did too get that too. As a reapplicant, I got quite a few of those last year as well. I guess they just want you to get ready to apply for FAFSA early IF you're accepted.
 
Does everyone who's got a secondary already have their primary verified
 
I called nsu asking if they do the fee waiver and the lady said she had never heard about anyone getting their fee waived. Anyone have luck doing this? I'm wondering if this is just their policy or if the lady really doesn't have a clue lol
 
Has anyone received an e-mail about setting up an email account with SharkLinks? I think they set up NSU ID's as well as usernames but I can't login :/
 
lol if its Nova...then the administration sometimes really doesn't have a clue, its very disorganized...I know for a fact.

They've already neglected to download my updated AACOMAS (MCAT scores) for 3 weeks now.
 
yeah like my friend says, "Nova is the Harvard of the South" so quit complaining whiners
 
Anybody else's transcript box on the status page still blank? It's included with the AACOMAS primary, right?
 
Mine is blank - I thought it was part of the AACOMAS app.
 
I received an email from Nova today stating my application was ready to be sent for review but I was still missing my recommendation letters. This of course I knew because I have not sent them out. My premed committee letter is ready through interfolio and I am still waiting on my DO letter from the physician I am currently shadowing. I will be seeing her tomorrow so hopefully she is finally finished with it. I just plan on submitting both letters via interfolio at the same time to all my schools.
 
Does anyone have a timeframe for Nova downloading & marking letters received once they've been uploaded to VirtualEvals?

I sent my packet via VirtualEvals on 6/28 and they were downloaded by NSU on 6/29. Then yesterday I received an e-mail stating my letters were still waiting to be received. I called admissions about this and they said "we will put an inquiry on your account and let you know." A little frustrating but I am doing my best at being patient. Hopefully they will "find" my letters.

Irritating. Well, I had to do two of their account inquiries just to get them to retrieve my MCAT scores, so I'm bracing myself for the same thing regarding my letters.

Patience in a world where everything is time-sensitive is a tough skill to master! I am just trying to take it in stride, best of luck.
