Does anyone know anything about the DO/MBA program at NSU? How to be accepted, when you take the MBA classes, any other useful information would be great. It'd be great to hear from someone in the program.

I am not sure of the specifics. However Dr. Whitehead or one of the other admin's will go over all of the dual degree programs during orientation. I know that you take some of the classes over the M1/M2 summer break followed by the rest during rotations. If you want some info email Dr. Whitehead at [email protected]. I think he can direct you!

the dual degree programs will be discussed during orientation. dr. whitehead is no longer in charge of student services so emailing him probably won't be the best way to get info (he got promoted, still works at nsu-com).

to be honest, though, almost nobody ever tries to do the dual mba program and I think maybe one person ever has finished it. you'll have enough on your plate, and do you really want to tack on another year to med school? :meanie:

I'm a student here at NSU in the undergrad and a BS/DO student, the MBA isn't really worth it. The B school kind of stinks. What is your GMAT/Work experience, are you aiming for healthcare or IBD at a BB? PM me

Just so you know in terms of cost....

In the DO/MPH program you receive a huge cut in tuition for the MPH degree. Since you're a medical student pursuing a concurrent degree NSUCOM has worked out a special deal to get the MPH for only 60 dollars per credit. This makes your degree just under 3000 total.

The DO/MBA program is full tuition for whatever a normal MBA student would pay, which I think is like $660 per credit. This is another reason not many students have ever wanted to do the MBA.

PS - Your DO tuition doesnt change. Always the same. These degrees are on top of it.
