Hey! Does anyone know if there is an accepted student page?

You will receive a link to the Facebook page around 3-7 days after your acceptanceI found one on Facebook! Not sure if it’s official.
Will you also receive more information? I just got the basic paperwork to fill out and the orientation dates. You will receive a link to the Facebook page around 3-7 days after your acceptance
I thought they got rid of the guaranteed acceptance in post bac?Hey! No this program is for the D.O. program only. I believe the M.S in Biomedical sciences program at the Davie campus is for the allopathic interview, while this is a guaranteed acceptance with a 3.6!
I thought they got rid of the guaranteed acceptance in post bac?
But everyone that finished the program was offered a seat in the osteopathic medical school though, right? I'm pretty sure most people that were accepted into this program went on to the medical school besides a couple of kids that dropped out after the first semester for personal reasons or just went on to attend a different medical school upon completion of the program.Hi All,
Here is my 2 cents on the program as it is in its current state. The program is not well planned. The grading and exams make it extremely difficult to achieve the 3.6. The director of the program is not very communicative on changes. Midterm and final exams have several questions that were unfair and were counted towards the grade. Although the professors are open to questions, they often are not in charge of syllabi and course schedules. The administration is using the guarantee to med school to lure students with no other options. Please try all your other options before considering this program.
You need to get a 500 to get into the medical school. You can have a 498-499 to get into the program.do you have to achieve a 500 to get acceptance or have people with 498-499 gotten acceptances in the past if they did will in the program?
Where did you hear this? I just got an II for this program but this thread is making me have second thoughts :/But everyone that finished the program was offered a seat in the osteopathic medical school though, right? If you just search NSU KPCOM CHPP on Facebook, it’ll come up. That’s what I had to do.I was accepted about 3 weeks ago and committed but never received a facebook link for accepted students. Does anyone know anything about the accepted students facebook?
It took about a week. Yes, it’s $1,000 deposit. They give you about two weeks to submit it.Just completed my interview right now, how like did it take you guys to hear back? and it's a $1000 deposit if you get accepted right?
I tried to message you back but I won’t let me. 3.9 cGPA, 4.0 sGPA, 498 mcat (retaking in July to get 500), IS, not URM, good luck. For anyone who has been accepted, would you mind sharing your stats? I know a lot of people are getting emails from the medical school to apply here with their already good stats. So I’m just trying to put my mind at ease thx! And congrats !
I’m kinda in shock you didn’t get in this cycle. Also if you don’t mind me asking why are you guys doing a post bacc with such amazing GPA’s?Wasn’t expecting a decision so soon but I got accepted today!! I interviewed yesterday and got the email 10 mins ago. For those interested in stats, I have a 3.76 cGPA, 3.81 sGPA, and 506 MCAT (second attempt). URM and OOS as well. This cycle has been a **** show and I’m thankful to have at least this acceptance. Best of luck to you all, feel free to PM if you have any questions
You and me both honestly, it’s been driving me nuts. Especially seeing people with much lower stats getting in easily. I’ve gotten 6 interviews but always get waitlisted. I got the stats and the extracurriculares. Maybe it’s a sign that I’m not ready to do well in medschool off the bat. Unless I get a call within the next 3 months from one of those schools, it looks like I’ll be going to NSUI’m kinda in shock you didn’t get in this cycle. Also if you don’t mind me asking why are you guys doing a post bacc with such amazing GPA’s?
That’s a lot of waitlists, I have a good feeling you will be pulled from one. Most movement starts after may15. Statistically the odds you don’t get pulled are very low from 6 WL but then again you never know. Goodluck! You and me both honestly, it’s been driving me nuts. For me, I don’t want to risk another cycle, retake the mcat to her higher than a 500, and don’t want to move since I’m near NSU already.I’m kinda in shock you didn’t get in this cycle. Also if you don’t mind me asking why are you guys doing a post bacc with such amazing GPA’s?
Please don’t take offense to this just wanted to give me 2 cents, but I’m just an applicant so take it with a grain of salt. For me, I don’t want to risk another cycle, retake the mcat to her higher than a 500, and don’t want to move since I’m near NSU already.
Nah man I think you'll be fine, just apply early and treat this interview like a med school interview (which it pretty much is, they interview you now so they don't have to when you transition)Me with my 3.44 and 506 trying to get into this program next cycle really starting to give me anxiety lol
Thanks for the input. I’ve been accepted and put a deposit down for this program already. I only need to only retake the mcat and get two points higher vs. getting a much higher score (which is why I chose this post bac). I already have over 4,000 hours of patient care and a lot of clinical volunteering, my mcat was just low. Please don’t take offense to this just wanted to give me 2 cents, but I’m just an applicant so take it with a grain of salt.
you already have a 4.0 science gpa, you’ve proven you can perform in your courses. A post bacc isn’t going to change much, I would personally focus that time on getting the best mcat score I can and boosting the other aspects of my app like clinical volunteering and patient care hours. Again I don’t want to tell you what to do, I’m sure whatever you decide you will succeed!
Completely makes sense! You’re going to do great you seem like a brilliant student. Goodluck! Thanks for the input. I’ve been accepted and put a deposit down for this program already. I could technically retake my mcat at the end of summer but wouldn’t even be able to apply for medical schools until next summer because I would be so late in the game. I would rather just do this program and have a direct entry. My parents are older and I already live in a place where I can drive to NSU and not move OOS for the program or the medical school, so that’s why I’m doing this. I also have been out of school for a few years so I believe this is my best option for getting my head back into studying mode and get a guaranteed admission. Hope that makes sense.
PM me!Got an interview coming up. Any tips would be very helpful! thanks
This summer would probably be your best bet, or in between the fall and winter semester. I heard we get about a month off in December.I received an email earlier this month to apply to this program, however, I have a 498 MCAT along with a 3.83 overall GPA and 3.7 SGPA. Would there even be time to retake the MCAT during this program?
When I first applied, I was told they're accepting applications until May. They never specified when in May, but that's all they told me. I believe they're aiming to accept about 100 students into this program, and the facebook group currently has about 85 so I would apply as soon as possible.Anyone know the deadline to apply?
Same!!! Interviewing this weekInterviewing here soon. Anyone with feedback from previous interviews pls pm me. Thank you!
I interview tomorrow, any tips??Same!!! Interviewing this week
