I see on the NSU website that they require one semester of english comp and one semester of english lit. I never took english lit..only 2 semesters of comp. I thought that I had all my requirements taken care of with all the sciences. Please don't tell me I have to go back next semester and take english lit!!!!! UGH!

That's one of the reasons I didn't apply to nova. I havn't planned my schedule around an extra literature course. I was thinking that if I got in, maybe I could take the class post-bacc over the summer before matriculation. It's rather inconvenient for most of us though, so I feel your pain :\

I imagine they can be flexible with that requirement considering you had two semesters of English. I had one quarter of English lit, one semester of English comp (I transferred schools), and some AP credit and they never said anything about lacking English credits. Call or email them and ask about it- the admissions people are VERY nice. Good luck!

I think any literature class will do, they may not even care. You should call and ask them. They took the american lit class that I took years ago. 😀

Whats funny is I saw this "requirement" after I got admitted.

I had just "freshman" english from years eariler.

I didn't have a clue about literature or comp classes...

eh..they must have liked me anyhow 🙂

Just wanted to let you know that I contacted the school and they said that my comp classes were fine 🙂

In regards to NSUCOM application, my advice would be to get everything done early as possible. Read my "Got Beer" post, that could give some of the Pre DO/MD some help.
