Number 9800!?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
you are still in the 4 digits range < 10,000.

Good Luck

i guess they are right about breaking the 10,000 applicants barrier

How many people applied in last year's cycle?

Profchaos,

When did you submit your app?

The AADSAS number is an 8 digit number. The first 4 digits correspond to the year of the cycle - i.e: 2005-XXXX. The last 4 are for the number of applicants applied during that particular cycle (2005). AADSAS has never reached a 9 digit number (as far as I know), in other words, the number of applicants have never reached 10,000. Last year's applications reached ~8,000, I think. It is possible that the 10,000 mark has been reached this cycle. If that's the case, then the 9 digit AADSAS# might be considered for the next cycle.

I think there might be a difference between a web # and an AADSAS #. Some on-line applications may be subject to a transition number (for whatever reason) until the actual AADSAS# is created by AADSAS.

Actually, it is a 9 digit number, and was last year as well: 2005-XXXXX

yup, there is a 0 after 2005... so it is 20050XXXX, the 0 is to compensate if the numbers go above 9999.

Where the hell did al these people come from!

I just hope I get something december 1st.

I got my mail today, web # 9800!? What the hell!? Too many people this year

I just got my AADSAS ID as well (Monday), and it was only 65**. I submitted October 9. Maybe your web number is different from your AADSAS ID....I think everyone wants to freak everyone out on this website....call AADSAS and get your official number to calm your nerves. When did you submit?

The Web ID found on the bottom right corner of your AADSAS printout is not the same as your AADSAS ID (found at the top right corner). For example, my WEB ID (close to 10,000) is a lot higher than my AADSAS ID (just over 6,000).

Just my guess, but the web ID may be the number that's assigned to you when you start your application online, regardless of whether you actually submit your application or not, and your AADSAS ID is what # you were to actually submit your application.

I knew someone who applied last January and his number was something like 7900. So this year is insane. God be with us.

You are right. I kept thinking it was an 8 digit #, my AADSAS # is 2005-00XXX, and I applied six months ago, back in May.

This year's application will be through the roof if they have already reached 10,000 in early November.

The numbers have been sky-rocketing for the past month. Do all of these later applicants have a chance? I know I filed mine in early Sept and some schools, are out of interview slots already.

bspeedy which schools are out of interview spots??

i am in the same boat as you i applied back in sept 13.. schools are finally just reviewing my files

I submitted mine on Oct 15. Hopefully I just need to wait for another week. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that there will be no more errors/mistakes. I've never been this improductive in my life. Spend hours after hours browsing the Net (the SDN actually).

I didn't submit my application until Oct 19. The waiting process is so difficult...

Difficult? No, it is not. It is torturing 😡 It took them 2 weeks to respond one email. It took them two weeks to fix an error that they made. I really have to calm myself down while talking to them. We pay a lot and their service is like a piece of ****. Sorry, I'm frustrated. Thanks for starting. I have a reason to flush out my anger. 😀

I applied Sep23rd, got my mail two days ago. I'm agreeing some of you were right about the web id # and real number. I will look into it after I get home cuz I've been living at my buddy's house for the past several days 🙄
