Hey all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but it seemed like the best place. I know you can theoretically apply as many times as you want to medical school (i.e. submit AMCAS infinitely). However, I do know there are some schools who specifically say third time re-applicants to their school are not considered (i.e. if you add them on AMCAS three separate years and/or send them a secondary three separate years, they'll automatically reject you on the third time/ won't consider your third application).

My question is, does anyone know which schools have a "cap" on how many times you can apply to them specifically? I know I've come across them on happenstance before, but I've been digging through school's websites and haven't had any luck. Just trying to plan ahead in case I (God forbid) need to apply a third time/ decide which schools I want to tack on (I'm a re-applicant) this cycle. Also, I'm most interested in the "lower-" to "mid-" tier schools (U VT, Rosalind Franklin, VCU, Loyola Chicago, Penn State, Drexel, Creighton, etc.) plus Hopkins and Maryland.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I'm pretty sure the Harvard secondary I filled out this morning mentioned that you get two shots. After that, it's an auto-reject.

Thanks! Knew I wasn't going crazy haha.

Also, for future clarification I'm more interested in the "lower-" to "mid-" tier schools.

i've come across a few 3rd try=last try schools, but I don't remember specifically which ones.

Yeah that's what I'm struggling with haha. Thanks for the input.

Just came across something in the VCU thread about someone who applied there five times and then tried to appeal the fifth time... that was from 2009, though, so I'm not sure if they've changed their policy since then.
