I just read that the number of questions were changing from 400 to 370 as of 8/15. I saw it on the usmle site. Has anyone heard about this?

No, I haven't heard about this, but it sounds like great news! Could you provide a link for the page you found this info on?

    Thanks.

Note that not all centers will have the 370 question format. The transition period is about six weeks, so by early October, everyone in the nation will be taking the 370 question version.

I wonder what will happen to the rest of us who are taking it in the interim. I guess we'll find out on test day if we're in for a 400 question marathon or a relatively brisk 370 question sprint.

Gentlemen, here's to 30 fewer questions!

(Somehow, that doesn't have the same ring as "Gentlemen, here's to the good life!")
