It really depends on what you are looking for in a career. You need to consider issues like schooling, salary, family/work balance(if that is important to you), scope of practice, sense of autonomy, and a whole host of other issues. I think that shadowing both professions in a variety of settings would be a crucial step in making this career decision.

Ask if they're accepting any shadowers or volunteers. There really is no other way to shadow except to ask. lol
