I believe RN
LPN is just liscenced practice nurse---can get it at most comm. colleges in 2 years.
RN i think requires 4 years of school.
I'm not 100% sure, but am quite sure RN is higher up than an LPN.

An RN would be higher in the pecking order than an LPN. LPN training is actually about a year in length while RN training can vary from 2-4 years for a basic RN. 2 years for an Associate of Science in Nursing degree (3 years at some schools) and 4 years for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
