Do one need NY limited permit or full license in order to apply for acgme approved fellowship positions in NY?! Since, the person who need this info, has finished his/her residency and practicing for three years now in a different geographical area.

I see previous threads mentioning no need for any type of license for starting residency program. What about the licensing requirement for starting fellowships?!

Should be the same as far as the state is concerned. The program might have different rules.

Thanks for the reply! One item off the list for NY trainees then!! But wonder, how they will write CS prescription if they don't carry their own state and CS license unless institution allows them to use theirs
