Hi everyone! I'm new to posting here, but have been looking around here for ages. Anyway, I need a little advice regarding my postbacc options.

A little background... I graduated from a bachelor's nursing program almost two years ago and have been working as an RN since. I had planned on going to med school all through high school, but I think I got cold feet and decided to explore the medical field first through nursing (less school initially). Anyway, I've decided that med school is DEFINITELY the route I want to take and I plan on starting prereqs this spring.

My boyfriend and I are also planning on moving to New York City in the next couple months, so I've applied to programs there (NYU, Columbia, Hunter, and City College). Being from Colorado, I know little about these schools from personal experience; I'm just aware of their reputations and have the little info I've gotten through websites.

I have about six courses I still need to take (phys I&II, gen chem I, o chem I&II, and another bio course).

Would you suggest a more structured program (NYU or Columbia) or something less formal? Are there any people out there that have completed these programs or are currently enrolled? Any other advice anyone would like to share?

Thanks so much!
