I interviewed in early November and I haven't heard anything. I called the admission office to ask for an address update and was told that nothing has been sent to me. So what does that mean, should I be expecting a waitlist/rejection letter coming soon, since accpetance letters have already been sent out for my interview group?

Someone please answer my question, thanks in advance.

Its hard to say a definite answer to that.. But it seems like waitlist/rejection is probably what happened since the batch of acceptances went out already. I could be really wrong though, since I'm just assuming based off whats written in the thread. Good luck

for those of you wondering if nycom received your deposit, they said that they will be mailing out a letter today acknowledging the deposit and some immunization papers, as well as the PBL application.

I received a secondary over a month and half ago but haven't received any response as to being complete or for an interview? is that normal? I was reading the sdn'er have been getting them around the same time, also that they only send secondary's to students that they interview, is that true?

Is anyone considering sending in the deposit just to secure your acceptance as a backup school? I don't want to lose the acceptance as NYCOM is one of the schools that I would consider going to if I don't get accepted to my first choice, my state school, but my first choice is the slowest school in the world in accepting people. So now I'm torn whether or not to let go of NYCOM. I have two other interviews still too! So is anyone else considering possibly donating $1500 to nycom or am I the only crazy one?

i am also sending in a deposit to NYCOM even though there is a chance that i will not end up there.

i am on the waitlist at my 1st choice but i can't exactly pass up the acceptance for the slight chance of getting in somewhere else.

$1500 is a lot of dough but i'm gonna be in wayyyyy more debt than that soon.

Do you have a suggestion as to what is the best way to find out what my status is? Or of what I should do to give myself an edge to getting an interview?
As of right now this is my top school! But I feel like it is crunch time and I am not going to end up getting in anywhere this year unless the climate is perfect all year round.

I have been published since i applied would that be a good update? if so how do i present it and send it?

getting published is something big! i would send them a letter that nycom is your top choice and how you are continuing to improve your app. say something about ur publication.

I would definitely call them. Or ask someone who has the date that you wish to interview in NY and see if they might switch dates with you.

Yeah I got the same email 12/16 and I hadn't even filled out the secondary app at that point..so I wasnt sure what to do either. I guess it couldnt hurt to submit it in case you end up going there

I got that too and I didn't submit it either. But it says that documents must be submitted 2 weeks from receipt of that email (I got it 12/16)... I wonder if we're still allowed to submit it...

still waiting for a possible interview... i had sent an osteopathic physician LOR who was also an alumni of NYCOM but apparently interview invites are only based on AACOMAS and the supplemental/secondary application... oh well hopefully ill have good news soon . Anyone know what month they interview until?

I called today and still got "no decision has been made" reply.
I'll have to send deposit to another school by next month, but NYCOM is my first choice. This is killing me..!!
Is it true that NYCOM never notifies you if you're waitlisted or rejected???

Wait listed students are notified. I do not know about rejections. I think they say they keep re-evaluating the applicant.

You do not need to submit a secondary for an interview invite. It's the primary that you need to submit. Mine was verified back in October, got an interview invite in Dec (for Jan).

They mail it to us later with everything else we need to get filled out. The whole procedure is in the nycom class of 2013 thread I believe.

They got my primary on 11/12 and I filled out my online secondary app a few weeks after, and I still haven't heard from them yet. Should I be worried? Is anyone in the same position as I am?

Relax. Get to the NYIT campus by turning from Northern Boulevard (25A), then simply go straight on the main road and you'll eventually reach NYCOM's parking lot. If anything, there are signs along the road that point you to "osteopathic medical school"; you'll get there just fine.

NYCOM won't appear on Google/GPS; look for NYIT.

Admissions office is on the second floor of the Serota Building (big red building). You go check in at the office and they tell you to wait in the waiting area.

Northern Boulevard runs through several towns. As I said, drive to NYIT; NYCOM shares the campus.
