NYCOPM interview-hotel or no?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You have to pay.

Just FYI...its NYCPM.

Anywho, is it common for pod schools to pay for or cover some of the interview costs (not counting airfare of course)? I heard about Temple giving you 2 days at a nice hotel (doubletree) just for interviewing. I think OCPM has a half off deal with some local hotels and even pays for the taxi to the interview. Also that the Cali school pays for your taxi costs (from hotel to both campuses and back). If any of you guys could verify this/add personal experiences it would be great.

This kind of suprises me overall as I have not heard the same experiences from people applying to allopathic/osteopathic or dental schools.

Its true at OCPM they got me a deal at the Wyndham and then paid for half on top of that. They also sent a sedan service to pick me up and drop me off the day of the interview.

NYCPM can give you the name of a hostel that is $25 a night. Sometimes they match prospective students up with other students for the weekend and the prospective students stay with the host student.

Most interviewees end up forking over money for a hotel.

The Comfort Inn Central Park on W71st and Central Park West is not so expensive.

The Paramount in Times Square across the street from the Marriott is also not terrible.
