Not sure you guys are still talking about stats but I have a 3.7 GPA and I bombed the MCATs with a 19M
Hey KaitD, when did you apply? And how long did it take for you to get your response back for acceptance. These questions can apply to anyone.
It seems that age discrimination is still widespread. That's illegal you know 😎
Well, I explained it to you. I don't know what obscure books you've read, but I suggest you google "786-Islam" and find out for yourself.
The Arabic numerals that we use today did not exist 1400 years ago; thus there were many counting methods available at the time. One method was alif = 1 ba=2, and so on. Another, method became popular 300 years after Mohammad died. In this method 1-9 were assigned to alif-ya (I think I'm forgetting my arabic letters, LOL). 10-90 were assigned to different letters. 100-900, to others. If I can't explain this very well, go to the Abjad numerals wiki.
Anyway, the point is different numeric systems have come and gone. 786 is a weird way of taking Bismillah, going back to an arbitaty-antiquated numbering system, and coming up with a number. That's like me saying d=4 a =30 r=500 k= 1000 so 1534= Dark, the first part of my name, awesome! As you can see the values assigned to the numbers are random themselves. Arabs didn't even use this numeric system 1400 years ago, I should research and find out how they counted. Anyway, then the Indian-Hindu, which the Arabs stole (darn them 😀) numeric system came along and BAM! the 1234567, we have today!
I could be wrong, but this is whatI believe happend.
I believe they teach college level religion at some good high schools, but then again crappy universities can be the same as some good high schools.
Anyway, we should go back to podiatry. I won't post on Islamic Numerology or Religion anymore. I have to study physics
You have to study the MCAT.
