NYIT( Ark) vs OUHCOM

I've been accepted into NYITCOM (ark) and OUHCOM and not sure which to choose but leaning toward ouhcom

I'm OOS. Both p/f (not sure with ouhcom new curriculum). Cost of living is similar but ark is a little cheaper depending on where you live.

Yearly Tuition with fee excluding housing, transportation, and personal expenses

NYITCOM ~ 60K vs OUHCOM~ 58K

OU-HCOM has CORE sites vs Arkansas I'm not sure where the students rotate

There is a 3-year commitment for OUHCOM to do residency or 5 years if you decide to do residency somewhere else. Personally, I think I want to live in the midwest so I don't mind and the company my fiancé works for has multiple sites in Ohio.

I do a lot of research ( 1 pub, 3 pending) and both NYIT and OU has some dope facilities and resources I could utilize

I'm interested in FM/IM/EM right now maybe surgery, who knows.

Comparing right now is difficult, but I'd appreciate any input you guys may have that pertains to aspects you like/dislike about these two schools. Thanks in advance!

This shouldn't even be a question. NYIT-Ark is a terrible school and OUHCOM is excellent. It's state funded, is very established, and has a huge network of associated GME while NYIT-Ark is going to play second fiddle to ARCOM, has zero GME, doesn't have state support, and is simply a money grab by the parent organization.

No question OUHCOM. NYCOM ark doesn't even stand a fighting chance. OUHCOM is well established and a great DO program

How'd you get into OUHCOM while being OOS? Do you have close relatives there? Ever lived there in the past?

OUHCOM forsure, the new curriculum is actually putting more emphasis on smaller quizzes and less larger stakes exams because research shows that most med students come out with PTSD basically. Its still pass/fail and they don't rank. I go to the cleveland campus and I love it so so so much.
