NYIT Interview

Does anyone remember the 3 questions in the interview essay? I am trying to remember what I saw. I never saw the superhero question.
 
Hi! I just got my acceptance email today! I am definitely considering NYIT, but want to see if I get any more offers before I put my deposit down. Good luck to everyone else!
 
Hi, i got my interview invitation on friday, november 22nd, my questions are:
1- Do they interview all applicants or chosen ones only?
2- Any info about the interview process
3- When are acceptance emails sent?
4- What is the criteria of choosing candidates in NYCOM as students?
5- What's the probability or percentage of interviewees vs candidates ( like what's the percent of interviewees being accepted?)

I'm sorry fo the questions, but i really need help here, i'm so excited and i really need to perform well on this interview, thanks a lot ... please reply

When I wrote my essay the questions I had were: What super-power would you choose? And if you were a car, color and something else, which would you choose?

Is your interview for DPT or NYCOM?
 
Does anyone know if NYIT DPT requires an updated transcript from fall/spring of this school semester via PTCAS?
 
I have a serious question regarding the interviews.
What does everyone wear? Lol...suit? Shirt and tie?

Decided on another school that was closer to home.

But the faculty at NYIT seem legit. Just too far from where I want to be.
 
has anyone on the wait list gotten off from it for NYIT? i was wait listed a while ago and just wondering how far they are in the list.
 
Hey guys, 2014-2015 cycle applicant here. When did you guys submit your applications and when did you get an interview date or rejection? Is there a correlation?

Hello! I submitted my application in late October and got an interview for NYIT in late November. They emailed me that same night telling me I got in. Are you just applying to NYIT?
 
I'm applying to virtually every school in the NY area. On PTCAS it says that my apps got mailed today. I already have my necessary hours verified and my references have also filled out the PTCAS. Would you mind sharing your stats? And sorry for the ignorance, i was a little confused on the website. NYIT is in NYC or LI?

My undergrad GPA was a 3.6
I'd rather not share my GRE scores because they were horrible lol
I literally googled "PT schools in the Northeast that do not require the GRE's" and I applied to most of those
NYIT is in LI
I decided to attend Sage Graduate School in Troy and am currently in my summer semester! They didn't do interviews.
If your application is all set I would recommend submitting it sooner rather than later because when the due date comes around, everyone is submitting their apps and the schools have to look at hundreds at a time.
 
My GRE scores meet the general requirements, but im just worried about my pre-req GPA lol. Would you be able to say when to expect a call/email from NYIT? I have everything submitted already

I know NYIT DPT operates under a rolling admissions basis meaning that they review and accept applicants as the applications are received, so you will probably hear from them soon. When they emailed me saying I had an interview in November there were only 2 spots left!

Hello everyone ,
Those who got in , can you all please share your stats . I am pretty discourage from getting rejection from all the schools I have applied. NYIY is my last bet .

My stats are :
Undergrad GPA : 3.4
Pre req : 3.13 ( taking anatomy again to improve GPA )
Graduate school GPA : 3.8
I would rather not share my GRE , it's horrible.
700+ hours .

Please let me know if I have chances to get in NYIT.
 
@rmp my stats are lower than yours and I got an interview invitation. So I would not worry at all because your chances are pretty good.

Hey, I had an interview on 10/10 too. I know that we were supposed to hear if we got in last week and if not we wouldn't her until 3 weeks out but it seems like nobody has gotten in from the interview on the 10th yet.

OMG i am so nervous now. I hope you get in. Btw how many people they interviewed and what type of question they asked you. Basically can you give me basic overview of interview process.

That person was from last year, Nov 2013.

The interview was nothing big. 17 people and all the questions were straightforward. For example, why PT? And then the rest of the questions build of your answers and application. For me they asked how my research would help at NYIT and how my ACL reconstruction factored in.

Oh ok . I am just nervous and i just hope i get an interview. That school is my first preference. Do you all have any other thread beside this one. I would like to join that so that i know people expereince from interview and all. Thank you

@rmp. Corin was the one who interviewed me and it was pretty laid back. She didn't asked me any general PT questions at all besides, "How did I Hear about NYIT?" but it did lead to the more specific question on What I like about NYIT. She did ask what was the last book I have read, but other than that she went through my whole application and resume and just had me elaborate more about it. The whole interview was mostly an ongoing conversation which made the whole process much less stressful and intense. However I too have not heard anything about my status so every day I'm living in suspense.

My interview was on September, but I can't make it so I reserved the interview to OCT 10th. I received an email from Dr. Friel on October 16th. I got in, but I am unsure if I want to go there; tuition is 1,050 per credit. Quite expensive.

Yeh do you mind sharing your stats. I submitted my application 3 weeks ago, i haven't got any response from them yet. I am super nervous, any help from you will be appriciated.

Hey ,
I have sent my application on 10/27/14, i haven't received any conformation from NYIT about receiving my application. Should i be worried. I am nervous because it's already December and i haven't heard from the school yet.
Can u tell me when u sent ur application and when they received ur application?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I attended the interview for NYIT today 12/5. There were about 20 applicants interviewing for 2-3 open enrollment spots. I heard that NYIT does go to their waitlist to fill in the remaining spots, because not everyone offered a spot accepts it. They do run on a rolling admissions process, that being said I would say that the likelihood of you hearing back is slim.
